Embroidery Guidelines

Embroidery has the ability to enhance any garment however there are certain details that must be kept in mind.

Size is very important in a left chest logo because generally men are larger across the chest area than women. You want your design to be small enough that it won’t go into the fold of your arm but big enough that you can see it.

The below standards are used to design left chest logo’s:

  • Width: Design should be no bigger than 4” across
  • Height: Design should be no taller than 3.5” (This can vary depending on your design and text contents)
  • Small text: The smallest readable text that can be stitched is .25” (6mm) high. You can use up to 20 characters at this size before you have to split into a second line of text on your design.

The below standards are used to design Cap logo’s:

  • Width: Designs can go up to 5” across, to maximize your design space.
  • Height: Cap designs cannot exceed more than 2” in height.
  • Small text: The smallest readable text that can be stitched is .25” (6mm) high. You can use up to 20 characters at this size before you have to split into a second line of text on your design.
